As your current San Diego Leather Bear 2025, I’ve stepped into this role not only with pride, but with a clear purpose: to create spaces that unapologetically center queer identity, expression, and kink-positive community here in San Diego.
One thing I’ve noticed is a lack of events that truly center queer folks in all our beautiful complexity. For many of us, “queer” is not just a label, but a political and cultural identity — one that resists categorization and challenges expectations around gender, bodies, and desire.
Too often, we’re asked to explain ourselves, defend who we are, or make our joy palatable. I believe we deserve spaces where we don’t have to explain anything — where we can just show up, let loose, and feel completely at home.

Yes, it’s our nation’s 250th birthday this year, and that should be a great reason to celebrate, but this year, we want to add to the excitement. Our own Mr. Bear San Diego Alan Bravo is celebrating his as well. So come out and join us at Tom, Cody, and Kev’s place (address on the flyer to the right) as we sit back, relax, and celebrate reasons that are near and dear to us.
This party is all-ages welcome, and socialized dogs are as well, though you’ll need to clean up after them yourself. Bring your own towel and bathing suit, the pool and hot tub should both be available.
We look forward to seeing you there! Members are Free, and we ask for a $10 donation for non-members and guests.

Hey Bears and Bear Fans of San Diego and beyond. As you may recall, Bears San Diego is not just a social organization but a philanthropic one as well, and we work through many avenues for raising funds that we in turn can give back to our immediate community and the organizations within them.
Adding to the list of what we do, we have a Tupperware Fundraiser happening that started at the end of May 2026 and will be ongoing through July 10th until midnight!

It’s that time of year again, and The Center San Diego needs our help. Bears San Diego is proud to support one of our communities premier organizations with this years DOFL day. The Vice President 2026-27 Donnie Vella and Treasurer 2026-27 J. Keith Henry will be working with our particular host location, which is R’ Place [DIRECTIONS] from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. PDT this Thursday, April 23rd.
